Zoot Enterprises is pleased to announce today that it will be opening the doors of its new onsite daycare on April 30. The Zoot Adventure Learning Academy (ZALA) will provide childcare for Zoot employees in a play-based center for children ages six weeks to six years.
“We are passionate about families and want to offer an environment where those families can thrive,” said Rebekah Nelson, Director of Employee Benefits Outreach at Zoot. “We believe that offering this service will help us continue to build a quality community and is the right thing to do,” Nelson added. ZALA will prioritize enrollment for children of current Zoot employees, and will consider enrollment for children of non-employees on a case-by-case basis. The learning center will focus on giving children a safe and trusted place to grow and explore, while providing parents the opportunity to interact with their children during the work day.
ZALA currently employs two infant teachers, a toddler teacher, a preschool teacher, and a Director. The center follows the nationally-recognized ‘Creative Curriculum,’ which focuses on discovery-based learning and confidence building. “Our approach encourages self-reliance, emotional well-being and intellectual development,” says Morgan Lindquist, Academy Director. “We believe in using everything in the child’s surroundings to teach problem solving, exploration, innovation, logic and reasoning.”
Zoot has been a member of the Bozeman community since its founding over 25 years ago, and now employs over 250 people. A wellness-focused company, Zoot already offers onsite services including a gym, disc golf course, volleyball court, cafeteria, and espresso bar. This latest move makes the organization one of only a handful in the area to offer childcare. “When I founded Zoot over twenty five years ago, I was a single father trying to juggle work and childcare,” said Chris Nelson, Founder and CEO of Zoot. “I always dreamed of offering these services to my employees, and it is very rewarding to finally be able to do so. We believe that ZALA will not only meet the needs of our employees and their families, but improve their wellbeing, increase productivity, and benefit Zoot as well.”
