Human Nature

Jack Schnepf and Emma Bergman draw inspiration from their upbringing surrounded by nature, creating art that explores the profound connections between people and the natural world. Their work combines stylistic realism with vibrant color, employing charcoal and paint respectively to present depictions of humans, animals, and landscapes.

Their pieces capture their shared values of optimism and hope. Animals serve as personifications of human emotions, inviting viewers to consider the shared essence of existence across species. By focusing on life’s fleeting and grand moments they highlight the passion and beauty in life’s quiet details.

Together, their work seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for the world and its inhabitants, fostering empathy and a renewed sense of connection with nature and ourselves.

The exhibit will be on view from with a public opening reception Thursday February 19th from 5-7pm at Zoot Enterprises.

Zoot is committed to championing the Montana art community. The corporate exhibit space is open to the public and hosts rotating works by Montana artists for the enjoyment of employees and the community. The gallery has an expansive open area for sculpture and boasts over 100 square feet of vertical exhibit surfaces. One exhibiting artist described it as “…arguably the finest gallery space in the area.”

All work sold through the gallery is commission-free. The exhibits of Montana-only artists rotate approximately every three months and are selected by the Zoot Committee for the Arts.

Public hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information, visit the Zoot art gallery website at zootartgallery.com or contact Brandon Gatlin, Gallery Coordinator, at brandon.gatlin@zootweb.com.
