Zoot grants provided to a record number of nonprofits in 2017.
As part of its dedication to the Gallatin Valley and beyond, Zoot Enterprises has wrapped up the 2017 fiscal year with a record number of grants to local nonprofits. Zoot supported over 70 organizations in 2017, ranging from the Manhattan FIRST Robotics Club, to the Children’s Museum of Bozeman, to Warriors and Quiet Waters.
“Zoot’s grant has helped to provide a life-changing experience for our robotics team,” said Aaron Boyd, founder and coach at Manhattan FIRST Robotics Club. “Over half of the kids on the team are now pursuing STEM-related tracks in school as a result of their experience. Thanks to Zoot, the Manhattan Robotics club is offering insight into the possibilities of a career in STEM that the students would not otherwise discover on their own.”
Since the inception of the grant program in 2000, the company has supported over 300 different organizations with more than $400,000 in donations.
“We take our commitment to our local communities very seriously,” said Darcy Barry, Zoot Grant Committee chair. “It is important to us that our legacy is one of community involvement – whether that be through direct assistance, supporting our employee’s outreach efforts, encouraging youth to pursue careers in tech, or helping to improve the quality of life of our neighbors in the Gallatin Valley.”
The Zoot grant committee provides quarterly donations to applicants through a formal granting process, in addition to donations through an employee matching program. Nonprofits interested in submitting a grant proposal for 2018 may do so through the Giving Back section of the Zoot website.
